Reviews
Beautiful property with an excellent beach & pool. About 5 minutes outside of town. The town has a lot of F&B options.
The rooms are ok--A/C is not that powerful and is non existent in hallways.
Everyone was very helpful.
Food options should be expanded--lunch (40 Euro PP) and dinner (60 Euros PP) are buffet only so if you are looking for a lite bite you need to go out. A la carte options would have been nice
Capo Testa
PROS
- Gorgeous / stunning beach. No need to leave the resort and go on excirsions
- Capo Testa terrain, prehistoric dali-esque rocks were moving and like being in a fairytale.
- 5 different pools with water fountains and the flora of the grounds was breathtaking
- Shuttle to Santa Teresa di Gallura was helpful
- S’Andira nearby was wonderful high-end dining while you watch the sunset.
CONS
- Hotel was so cheap with water. Offer your guests / staff a water cooler in the lobby. Dont compromise people’s health / wellness and try to rip off your guests by making them pay €4 for water during 113* weather.
- Martini next door understaffed which made it an infuriating dining experience despite that the food was good. Dont waste your money.
- The front desk staff, especially Valeria, was very sweet and welcoming….except for Martina. She was not friendly, just wanted to get rid of guests. and did not make me feel welcome.
- The booking process was frustrating. We emailed our questions and called to follow up myltiple times, but they never replied or took responsibility
- Accommodations / furniture were musty / outdated. The A/C did not work. There was mold in the air/ exacerbated my asthma. Hotel did not even have a fan to offer. They tried to fix it but it was never sufficiently cool.
The pools in the hotel are not suitable for swimming. All of them too shallow. No entertainment at night and nowhere to go for the evening. Taxi to the nearest town , 3 km ,cost €20. It is perfect for young children and the beach is very sandy. Airport transfer fro Olbia cost€130 another €10 if you need a children’s car seat. The airport is an hour and ten minutes away.
Very basic 5 start hotel - average on all fronts - pool fabulous but nothing else to rave about
Same breakfast 3 days in a row and very dissapointing…
Rooms very small & bathroom smaller
The hotel is in a beautiful location over a great beach in Capo Testa.
Rooms are absolutely fine, nothing particularly luxurious, but very comfortable. Housekeeping staff were attentive and the room was spotless.
Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful.
Pools and beach were perfect for a relaxing break, although the hotel needs to enforce rules on the pool beds. Far too many guests were throwing their stuff on beds at 8am then not showing until lunchtime. Many of us couldn't get a bed by the pool as a result.
Food at the pool bar was not great, but plenty of options nearby. The trip into Santa Gallura is well worthwhile.
Biggest issue we had was the shuttle to town. It runs 4 times a day, with no shuttle back after 7:10pm. Be prepared, we waited an hour for a taxi back that never showed (not via the hotel). Do organise a taxi through the hotel to get home or you'll be walking 3.5km up a dangerous mountain road too!
Great hotel, and made for a lovely short break away with my wife. Highly recommend the hotel.
A lovely hotel with good facilities (especially the pools and private beach), as well as great staff.
It was a fantastic experience, me and my partner with my mum and sister went and we were blown away by the service from the start to finish, the location is beautiful the food was 10 stars and the staff were excellent! The reception manager was so helpful he was always asking if we needed anything and was very kind. Great experience .. I was gutted I didn’t book it for a little longer. Did not want to leave.
